THE INSTITUTE FOR DIVERSITY IN HEALTH MANAGEMENT PARTNERS WITH
HR SOLUTIONS TO LEAD DIVERSITY RECOGNITION SURVEY AND AWARD PROGRAM
HR SOLUTIONS TO LEAD DIVERSITY RECOGNITION SURVEY AND AWARD PROGRAM
Chicago, IL, February 28, 2008-The Institute for Diversity in Health Management, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, has selected HR Solutions Inc., a Chicago-based human management consulting firm, to be the engine behind its State of Healthcare Diversity Survey and Diversity Award Program.
Hospital leaders across the country will be contacted via email and invited to benchmark their organizations' diversity-related efforts against the entire hospital field. HR Solutions will fashion the survey with regard to two main objectives the Institute has put forth. First, the survey intends to distinguish top-performing healthcare organizations based on the commitment, time and resources they have dedicated toward creating a successful culture of diversity. Secondly, the survey seeks to inspire hospital leaders to consider multiple methods they can pursue in order to better serve diverse populations and continuously strive for ongoing improvement in this area.
The survey also seeks to increase awareness of the benefits of diversity and strengthen organizational efforts. Hospitals with the highest overall scores, as well as organizations scoring most favorable in each of the sub-categories or dimensions, will be recommended for recognition. The project is scheduled for completion by summer of 2008.
The Institute partnered with HR Solutions based upon its extensive and groundbreaking work regarding the positive correlation between Diversity Satisfaction and Employee Engagement.

About the Institute for Diversity:
The National Association of Health Services Executives, ACHE and AHA united to create the Institute for Diversity in Health Management in 1994. The Institute has since gained two partners, the Association of Hispanic Healthcare Executives and the Catholic Health Association. The Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works closely with health services organizations and educators to expand leadership opportunities for ethnic minorities in health services management. The Institute's mission is to increase the number of people of color in health services administration to better reflect the increasingly diverse communities they serve, and to improve opportunities for professionals already in the health care field. To accomplish this, the Institute has designed several initiatives to generate significant long-term results through educational programs, summer internships, professional development and leadership conferences.
